cheriseboyer - My Story

Hello friends, and family, and new friends!

My name is Cherise Boyer, I am 21 years old and I live in Huntington Beach, CA. Its always so hard to know where to go to introduce myself so I guess ill start with the basics... I have an AWESOME family, I live with my parents and my little sister and I have an older brother as well. I have about a million aunts and uncles and cousins and cousins spouses and cousin kids and we are all involved with each other and most of us live pretty close to Huntington Beach. My family is so full of love and so supportive of my walk with the Lord that I cannot even tell you how thankful I am for them (all of them)!

I've been in school for a while, but I haven't gotten very far. This spring I will finish up and a local Jr. college and after I return home from Africa I have NO IDEA where I will go next, school no school moving staying!?! Who knows... I'm up for anything.

Right now in addition to school I am a nanny in the afternoons and spend many mornings/nights working at a little coffee shop right near the beach. I love the coffee shop, it is full of regulars who have become like friends and I work with some of the coolest people around. We get to wear what ever we want and local artists display their art on the walls, its is a great and creative environment to work in. I also work for a youth ministries camp during the summer. Its called Sonshine Specialized Camping Ministries and it is AWESOME! Its a houseboat camp that is located on both the Delta and Lake Shasta ( I work on Lake Shasta.) Last summer I was a Houseboat driver and this upcoming summer I am on the administration team. It was so cool to get to spend the summer loving on kids and being apart of the journey with God. This year I am being challenged by leading part of the staff that are the ones actually on the house boat with the kids. It will be neat to get to be involved with building up leaders and encouraging them to go boldly in doing what Christ calls them to do!

I love trying new things, and I love being outside. I am really goofy and really enjoy listening and finding new music. I drink a lot of tea and I like to have friends over all of the time. My newest hobby is surfing and I have always loved doing crafty things. I love traveling and meeting new people. And I believe with all my heart that you are never to old to build a fort
